We highly recommend the work of Richard Pester of Premier Painting and Decorating. Over a period of 3 weeks in May and June of this year Richard worked to restore and paint all the gloss-painted wood at The Little House. This included doors, skirting boards, stair rails and banisters, cupboards, book shelves, window frames (both inside and out) and fascia boards. Much of the wood was in a very dilapidated state with large cracks and blemishes. Richard transformed the house, leaving the woodwork looking fresh and well maintained.
Furthermore Richard is a real pleasure to have in the house. He is punctual, tidy and considerate, always good humoured and he offered many practical and effective solutions to the problems that we encountered during the restoration work. He is totally
trustworthy and we felt perfectly confident leaving our keys with Richard when it became necessary for us to spend a few nights away from home while the work was going on. As the work progressed it became clear that the wood required more repairs than Richard had initially anticipated and he called in the assistance of his father George, a retired builder and decorator, who provided us with much useful advice as well as doing invaluable preparation work. Thanks to this flexible approach and some very hard work Richard was able to complete the work in the time allocated, in spite of the job actually being bigger than he had originally thought.
